Five out of seven matches were decided via tie-breaker on the opening day of the Bhubaneswar Inter-School Football Tournament, which commenced at Unit-1 Government High School ground today.
A desperate Bhubaneswar Athletic Association (BAA) hastily conducted the tournament, which resulted in plethora of academic matches. The organisers tried to take the credit of hosting such an event without bothering about the proper display of the talent at the grassroots talent.
The organisers seemed more keen about pleasing the guests instead of caring the young players. The desparate conduct of the tournament made football lovers to say that it was an exercise in futile and involved a foul intention.
